Ulises Vasquez (1892 - 1949) 7/30/10Although he did some portraits, still lifes and paintings of everyday scenes of the time, he was mainly a landscape painter. His works reflect his quiet and desolate temperament. Predominantly gray cloudy days which blend into pale greens, purples, browns and faded red. Landscapes are deeply nostalgic poetic content that transmit vibrations of nature.
